Asan Darbayev appointed chairman of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy

By order of the Minister of National Economy, Asan Darbayev was appointed chairman of the Committee for the Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Asan Darbayev was born in 1984 in the Akmola region. He graduated from Al Farabi Kazakh National University, Ryskulov Kazakh University of Economics, Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Warwick University under the Bolashak scholarship.

He began his career in 2005 in the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan. Over the years, he has worked as chief specialist, head of the Competition Protection Division in the Antimonopoly Department of the Almaty region, in JSC "Center for the Development and Protection of Competition Policy."

In 2013-2014, he was deputy director of the Department of the Quasi-Public Sector and Consumer Protection, deputy director of the Department for Control of State Enterprises and Mergers at the Agency for Competition Protection of Kazakhstan.

In 2014-2015, he headed the Office of Control of State Enterprises and Mergers of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition of the Ministry of National Economy.

In 2015-2017, he was deputy chairman of the Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Protection of Competition, Ministry of National Economy.

Since 2017, he has been deputy chairman of the Committee on Regulation of Natural Monopolies, Protection of Competition and Consumer Rights of the Ministry of National Economy.
