Ilyas Ospanov appointed chair of Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development

By order of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ilyas Ospanov was appointed Chair of the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Ilyas Ospanov was born in 1986 in Nur-Sultan. He graduated from Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Imperial College London (UK). He is a member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve.

He began his career in 2008 as an engineer at the Astana Su Arnasy State Enterprise.

From 2012 to 2014, he worked in various positions in the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2014-2016, he held senior positions in the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2016-2017, he was Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Industrial and Innovative Development and Tourism, South Kazakhstan region.

In 2018-2020, he was Deputy Director of the Management Group for the project ‘Fostering Productive Innovation’ organized by the World Bank and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From February 2020 to April 2021, he was President of JSC Center for Engineering and Technology Transfer.

From April 2021, he has been Chair of the Board of JSC National Agency for the Development of Innovations QazInnovations.
