Kanat Baitov appointed chairman of Industrial Development and Safety Committee

By the order of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Kanat Baitov was appointed chairman of the Committee for Industrial Development and Safety of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development. This was reported by the press service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.

Baitov was born in 1968 in Pavlodar region. He graduated from Karaganda Polytechnic Institute, Kokshetau Institute of Economics and Management.

In 1992–1994, he worked as an underground mining foreman at the pit No. 2 of the Bestyube Mine of Kazzoloto. In 1994-1995, he was chief engineer of the Zapadnaya Mine, Bestyube Mine, Kazzoloto Mine. In 1995–1999, he was chief engineer at the Kapitalnaya Mine of the Ak Su at JSC Kazakhaltyn.

In 1999–2002, he was director for Economics and Finance, OJSC Kamkor. In 2003-2008, he worked in the Bank Center Credit. In 2008–2009, he was deputy director for economics and finance of limited liability company Ondiris Kompanya.

From 2009 he worked in the Ministry of Industry. In 2009–2010, he washead of the Metallurgical and Chemical Industry, in 2010–2011, he headed the Mining Department, 2011–2014 , he was head of the Mining and Metallurgical Industry Department of the Industry Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

In 2014–2019, he was deputy chairman of Industrial Development and Safety Committee of the Ministry for Investments and Development.

Since February 2019, he has served as deputy chairman of Industrial Development and Safety Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
