During the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev particularly emphasized the importance of implementing state and sectoral programs assigned to the Ministry of Investment and Development, and noted the interim results of their implementation. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

Over the years of implementing the Industrialization Program, 1060 projects have been introduced for a total of 5.2 trillion tenge. This allowed creation of 100 thousand jobs. Since carrying out of the Program, the projects put out produce equal to 8 trillion tenge. This is the most important achievement for the country. We are creating 500 types of products that we have never produced, the President of Kazakhstan said.

The Kazakh leader has pointed out to the effect of the accomplished Nurly Zhol Infrastructure Development Program.

"Since 2010, there have been construction and reconstruction of 5 thousand km of roads of national importance. Until 2020, another 4,500 km will open. Now, 85% of the national highways are in good condition. The roads for the Western Europe-Western China project and Astana-Temirtau, Almaty-Kapchagai, Beineu-Shetpe and Kokshetau-Petropavlovsk directions began operating. In addition, the largest bridge in Central Asia was built across the Irtysh River. 75 thousand people were recruited into implementation of these projects. At the same time, 90% of all construction materials have been manufactured in Kazakhstan," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

In addition, the President of Kazakhstan stressed the economic importance of "Kuryk" seaport and "Khorgos" international centre of cross-border cooperation.

In addition, the Head of State noted the results of actualizing the Nurly Zher Program, within which more than 10 million square meters of housing were built.

"Housing development sector is in progress in 9 regions. All the programs are focused on wealth-creation of our citizens. We have channelized all that was accumulated into increasing the well-being of Kazakhstan’s nation, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

At the same time, the President of Kazakhstan noted certain issues that require increased attention from the Ministry’s leadership.

"The industrialization state program has not yet ensured the country’s economic diversification. The share of manufacturing in GDP has not changed significantly. In general, all the necessary tools are available to realize the assigned tasks. You are fully responsible for the implementation of economic and social priorities," the Head of State said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev said about the importance of implementing all programs for the country’s further development and improving the welfare of Kazakhstan’s citizens.
