In 2021, measures to promote employment will cover 1.2 million Kazakhstanis

At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the measures taken to ensure employment of the population were considered.

In Kazakhstan, comprehensive measures are being taken to ensure employment, including strengthening the instruments of Enbek State Program and the Employment Roadmap.

So, according to the results of the first quarter of this year, Enbek program covered 158 thousand people (the plan is 700 thousand). Within the framework of the Employment Roadmap in the current year the emphasis is on creating permanent jobs and improving the social infrastructure of the regions.

In total, this year, measures to promote employment will be provided to 1.2 million people. Real wages are expected to increase by 10% to 221 thousand tenge. The unemployment rate will not exceed 4.9%. Under the Bastau Business project, training in the basics of entrepreneurship is planned for 30 thousand people this year.

The Head of Government positively assessed the work to create the maximum number of permanent jobs in Pavlodar, Karaganda and Atyrau regions.

“Ensuring employment of the population is the most important task of the Government. It is important to comply with new trends, requirements and build an effective labor market regulation system that will ensure an improvement in the quality of life, a decrease in the unemployment rate to 4.7% by 2025, as indicated in the program of the Nur Otan party. Over 5 years about 3.5 million people will be covered by measures to promote employment,” Mamin said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the Enbek National Project should contribute to providing the sectors of the economy with high-quality competitive labor resources.

The Head of Government instructed the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population until June 1, 2021, to submit to the Government the Enbek National Project for 2021-2025.

“Provision of the population with measures of employment should be focused on target groups, taking into account their problems and needs,” Mamin said.

The Prime Minister instructed to provide financing for the implementation of the Enbek project activities, as well as the development by July 1 of this year. regional employment cards. At the same time, special attention should be paid to the achievement of planned employment indicators and the creation of permanent jobs.
