Askar Mamin visits construction site of tourist complex in the capital

Prime Minister Askar Mamin inspected the construction of a multifunctional tourist complex in Nur-Sultan on the territory of the Astana - New City Special Economic Zone (west of the ice palace Barys Arena).

The investor of the project is a developer from the UAE — Ellington Properties Development LLC, the general contractor is Renaissance Construction. The total cost of the project exceeds 1 trillion tenge. The area of ​​the complex will be 2.6 million sq. m, building area — 333 hectares. A water park of 15 thousand square meters will be located here with play areas, parks, terraces, office and commercial premises, hotels, social and housing infrastructure, etc.

The first phase of the project (29 hectares) is planned to be commissioned at the end of 2022. 21.3 thousand temporary and 2 thousand permanent jobs will be created.

The head of government instructed to ensure the supply of the necessary engineering and communication infrastructure to the new district and to carry out all construction work in a high-quality manner on schedule.

The inspection trip was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, Akim of Nur-Sultan Altay Kulginov, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Finance Yerulan Zhamaubayev, Minister of Energy Nurlan Nogayev, Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Gabidulla Abdrakhimov and others.
