Alikhan Smailov meets with Saudi Arabian Minister of Hajj and Umrah

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov held a meeting with Tawfiq bin Fauzan al-Rabia, Minister of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The sides discussed expansion of cooperation in the fields of tourism, culture and civil aviation.

The Prime Minister noted that over the years the Republic of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia have established friendly and constructive relations.

"Muslims around the world are looking forward to making the Hajj. This year, 4,000 Kazakhs have received this right. This was possible thanks to the attention and efforts of the leadership of Saudi Arabia," Alikhan Smailov said.

He also thanked the representatives of the Kingdom for active participation in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana.

"I am sure that cooperation between our countries will expand and strengthen," Alikhan Smailov emphasized.

In turn, Taufik bin Fauzan al-Rabia said that opening of regular flights will give an additional impetus to strengthening of bilateral relations.

"I held a number of productive meetings with my Kazakhstan partners in the framework of the visit. We hope that the opening of direct regular flights will increase the number of tourists and pilgrims from Kazakhstan," Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabia said.
