Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov introduced the new Head of the Ministry of Information and Social Development, Darkhan Kydyrali, to the team.

The Head of Government noted that Darkhan Kydyrali is an experienced specialist, a scientist-Turkologist, widely known in the information sphere of the country. For many years he led the International Turkic Academy and the Egemen Kazakhstan republican newspaper, in different years he held responsible positions in the public sector.

"I am sure that Darkhan Kuandykuly's knowledge and experience will contribute to the further development of the information field and civil society of the country, to the effective achievement of the goals outlined by the President in the Address to the Nation," Alikhan Smailov noted.

The Prime Minister stressed that the Ministry of Information faces the task of expanding the role of civil society institutions, strengthening interethnic relations, improving youth and family policy, as well as increasing the competitiveness of the media.

Alikhan Smailov also noted the importance of the upcoming VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions at a high organizational level.

In addition, the Head of Government thanked Askar Umarov, the former Minister of Information and Social Development, for his work and wished him success in his new position.
