"The very life you lived is a feat. In addition to the fact that you created more than three hundred dramatic roles and starred in twelve films, you participated in the Great Patriotic War. Being the coryphaeus of our art, a recognized master of Russian drama and cinema, you have brought up a whole galaxy of wonderful artists and you still continue your pedagogical work. The secret of your longevity lies in the fact that you do not stop working," the President of Kazakhstan noted.
Handing over the highest degree of distinction — the title “Qazaqstannyn Yenbek Yeri," Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that Yu. Pomerantsev is a People's Artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize, an independent Tarlan Award, a Recipient of the Order of the Patriotic War of II degree, the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor, Otan and many medals.
"Taking into account your fruitful life and active social activities, I have signed a decree on conferring the title "Qazaqstannyn Yenbek Yeri" to your great contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s culture, which is remembered by many generations of spectators and admirers," the Head of State said.
In his turn, Yu. Pomerantsev thanked Nursultan Nazarbayev and stressed that these achievements became possible only thanks to many years of unremitting work.
"Accepting the highest award, I think only about how to justify this title. Work is my whole life, the meaning of my existence. I will continue to serve my native Kazakhstan," the People's Artist said.
