Meeting of Intergovernmental Kazakh-Turkmen Commission held in Ashgabat

The 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Turkmen Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was held in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar and Deputy Chair of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Chary Gylydzhov on Dec. 20.

During the meeting of the Commission, the participants discussed topical issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation. In particular, the prospects for the further development of trade and economic cooperation, interaction in the field of transport and communications, finance and investment, agriculture, water management and environmental protection, construction, culture and tourism, healthcare, education and science, as well as in gas and social and labor spheres.

Turkmenistan is one of the important trade partners of Kazakhstan in Central Asia. The results of 11 months of this year testify to the dynamic growth of mutual trade.

Following the meeting, the Protocol of the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kazakh-Turkmen Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation was signed.
