“It is deeply symbolic that today's summit is held within the walls of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Global Hub for Sustainable Development of the United Nations Academic Influence Program.

Today, the country is solving the problems of increasing the competitiveness of the education and science systems. Universities are granted academic independence. All these measures are aimed at enhancing the influence of universities in the evolution of the scientific, educational, technological and humanitarian space.”

Saparbayev also noted the symbolism of the Forum within the walls of Al-Farabi KazNU.

“Next year, Kazakhstan will celebrate the anniversaries of two enlighteners of the 1,150th anniversary of Al-Farabi, the 175th anniversary of Abay. And this conference can rightfully be called one of the first important events that takes place on the eve of the anniversaries of these great people.”

The Forum participants visited the Al-Farabi Museum dedicated to the cultural heritage of the thinker, whose name the university was given.
