Akimats of several regions instructed to strengthen control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements

At a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Spread of the Coronavirus chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov, the current epidemiological situation in the country, provision of personal protective equipment, the transportation of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan from abroad, and other relevant issues were considered.

Minister of Healthcare Yelzhan Birtanov in his report noted that in some regions the relaxation of quarantine measures has led to an increase in the incidence rate of coronavirus.

In this regard, the deputy prime minister instructed the akimats of the West Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda, Mangystau regions to tighten control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements, including with the possible strengthening of restrictive measures.

“Akimats of the regions should ensure strict control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements. If business entities do not comply with them, then they must be temporarily closed until the violations are eliminated. This is necessary to ensure the safety of our citizens,” said Tugzhanov.

Following the meeting, Yeraly Tugzhanov gave a number of specific instructions.
