Kazakhstan's small and medium business become leader in the production of goods

Enterprises of small and medium business in 2016 produced goods for a total of 17 trillion tenge. This is significantly higher than the oil production. This was reported by the Vice Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov.

The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the country's GDP in 2016 was 23.1%. At the same time, 3 million people are employed in small and medium-sized enterprises.
"For comparison, the volume of crude oil production per year was 7.2 trillion tenge. Here's an oil country!"- said Ruslan Dalenov.
The output of SMBs per capita is 1 million tenge per person. The largest number of enterprises is concentrated in Almaty and in the South-Kazakhstan region.
In general, the country's GDP was 46 trillion tenge. GDP per capita is 2.6 million tenge. More than 25% of GDP is made up of industry.
