At the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered. Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy reported on the current situation and the progress of vaccination.

To date, more than 171 million cases of CVI have been registered in the world, more than 392 cases are registered per day, more than 3.5 million people have died. The mortality rate was 2.1%.

According to the world ranking of 221 country, Kazakhstan is in 104th place in terms of morbidity, in terms of mortality over the past 4 weeks, Kazakhstan's position has improved by 5 places from 107 to 112.

As the minister said, as of June 1, 387,672 patients with a positive result of COVID-19 and 55,263 cases with CVI were registered in Kazakhstan.

“The Republic of Kazakhstan is in the yellow zone. In the red zone are the city of Nur-Sultan, Akmola, Karaganda regions. There are 6 regions in the yellow zone: the city of Almaty, Atyrau, Pavlodar, West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, North Kazakhstan regions. The remaining 8 regions are in the green zone,” Tsoy informed.

In general, the incidence of coronavirus infection continues to decrease in the republic. The number of detected cases of CVI over the past week decreased from 15 thousand to 12 thousand cases, or by 21% compared to the previous week.

Over the past month, the incidence has decreased by 1.6 times. According to the daily monitoring of bed occupancy as of June 1, 2021, the employment of infectious beds in the republic is 28% (9,984 beds), the employment of intensive care units is 24% (777 beds).

“I would like to note the positive dynamics of the employment of infectious and intensive care beds, so in May compared to April, the employment of infectious and intensive care beds decreased by 1.5 and 1.2 times, respectively. A decrease in the employment of infectious beds is noted in Almaty by 2.3 times, in the Almaty region by 1.9 times, in Aktobe by 1.8 times, in the Turkistan and West Kazakhstan regions by 1.6 times,” Tsoy said.

Over the past 2 weeks, the number of patients undergoing treatment has decreased by 12 thousand. Vaccination of the population against CVI continues.

“To date, about 3.2 million doses of the vaccine have been used, of which 2,131,519 people have been vaccinated with component 1, which is 21% of the subject population. The second component covered 1,074,954 people. Vaccination centers have a sufficient number of vaccine doses: about 330 thousand of the first component and 811 thousand of the second component. Additionally, about 2 million double doses of CVI vaccine are expected to be delivered in June. Today, 500 thousand doses of CoronaVac vaccines have been received. Thus, 4 vaccines will be available in Kazakhstan,” the head of the department explained.

The scaling of the Ashyq project is going on throughout the country. The number of project participants exceeded 8 thousand and increased by 2 thousand in 2 weeks. The number of users in 2 weeks increased from 1.4 million to 2 million.

At the same time, since the introduction of Ashyq, 3,556 citizens have been identified with a positive result of the PCR test and 3,012 contact persons.

“These statistics show that, unfortunately, some citizens do not comply with the home isolation regime, they try to visit objects of mass gathering of the population, move within the country, thereby posing a threat of infection to others. Taking into account the positive effect of the project implementation, together with NCE Atameken, criteria for encouraging project leaders have been developed,” the minister said.

So the leaders of the project will be determined by the number of fixations at the facility within 2 weeks, depending on the type of activity.

This approach takes into account the peculiarities of the capital and cities of republican significance.

Participants who have received the status of the Leader of the Ashyq project will receive additional benefits in terms of time and working conditions.

Also the issue of inclusion in the Ashyq project of objects of the tourism industry, educational centers, children's health organizations is being worked out.

“At present, there is a stabilization of the epidemiological situation of coronavirus infection in the republic, there is a gradual exit of regions from the red zone, the incidence, according to the forecast, develops according to a realistic scenario,” Tsoy summed up.
