Interdepartmental Commission adopts decisions on implementation of instructions of the Head of State

Today, at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov, specific measures were developed to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, given at a meeting on Oct. 7, 2020, on preparation for the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Yesterday Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich instructed to take prompt measures to pay compensation to 182 families of deceased medical workers, as well as to doctors who fell ill with COVID-19 while on duty. In this regard, I instruct the akimats of the regions, the ministries of health, labor and social protection of the population on Oct. 13, 2020, to complete the work on the appointment of compensation payments for the deaths of medical workers. Also, on Oct. 17, 2020, to ensure the appointment of compensation to doctors who fell ill during their professional activities, whose applications were considered at the regional commissions,” said Tugzhanov.

In pursuance of the instructions of the Head of State, the Interdepartmental Commission, following a discussion with government agencies, NCE Atameken and domestic producers, determined the maximum retail price for protective masks in the amount of 40 tenge, for disposable medical masks — 60 tenge.

Also Tugzhanov instructed the responsible government agencies, together with the business community, industry associations, to work out the issue of reducing prices for PCR testing within three days to increase the availability of services for the population with the introduction of agreed proposals for the next meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission.

Moreover, the deputy prime minister instructed to ensure uniform PCR testing in the regions within a week, to increase the efficiency of monitoring groups to identify violations of the quarantine regime, including at checkpoints across the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, airports, railway stations.

Akimats of Shymkent, Akmola, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan regions were instructed to increase the volume of the reserve of medicines in stabilization funds.

Along with this, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection and timely localize foci of infection, the Interdepartmental Commission approved the implementation of the Saqbol mobile application. The application is free, will allow you to promptly notify citizens about contacts with infected people, is anonymous, does not distribute personal data.

Following the meeting, the deputy prime minister gave a number of other instructions.
