According to statistics, the volume of attracted investments in the development of tourism in the Turkistan region for the third quarter of 2021 amounted to 92.3 billion tenge. Among the tourist sites here one can note the tourist complex Caravan-Saray from the investor Turkistan Silk Way Harbor LLP, as well as the international airport Hazret Sultan, the investor of which is the Turkish company JSC YDA Group.

The priority directions of tourist activity in the Turkistan region are:

  • pilgrim tourism with centers in the city of Turkistan, Otrar and Baidibek districts;
  • ecological tourism with centers in the reserves of Aksu-Zhabagly, Karatau and State Scientific and Production Enterprise of Sairam-Ugam, State Regional Enterprise Turkistan-Syrdaria;
  • health-improving tourism with a center in the Saryagash region.

In total, according to the results of 10 months of 2021, 11 tourist sites were commissioned in the Turkistan region. Among them is the tourist complex Caravan-Saray, incl. hotels Kun and Kaganat, hotels Emir Plaza, Grand Vella, Ramada Plaza, Olympic Hotel and recreation centers Kainar, Bekzat Bak, Zhandarbek, Ethnopark Kurort, Top Resort, Maksat.

This year, the opening of the tourist complex Caravan-Saray took place in Turkistan, which has become the largest project in the region. The Caravan Saray provides two premium-class hotels, designed for 113 rooms, a shopping and family entertainment center with a capacity of 300 thousand people per year, as well as a panoramic attraction, SPA centers, a flying theater, which uses the latest technology in 8D format. Also on the territory of the complex there are shopping areas with oriental architecture, shops of world famous brands, an open-air bazaar.

In addition, a 5-star hotel Rixos Turkistan with 120 rooms was commissioned in Turkistan. The hotel complex is equipped with a conference hall with a capacity of 1,200 seats, and was also built in accordance with international standards of the hotel industry. The hotel provides 2 restaurants, a banquet hall, 2 conference rooms, a shopping and entertainment complex, an indoor swimming pool, dry and wet saunas, a Turkish bath, and other facilities and facilities that meet the requirements of five-star hotels. This hotel became the first hotel industry facility in the Turkistan region offering a full range of services.

An important fact is that the international airport Hazret Sultan has been built in Turkistan. Regular flights are operated from Dec. 1, 2020. Currently, the airport carries out regular flights with the cities of Nursultan, Almaty, Atyrau, Kokshetau, Pavlodar, etc. Also, international flights are carried out with the cities of Bishkek, Istanbul, Tashkent. Investor of the project is YDA Group JSC. The area of ​​the airport is 905 hectares, the capacity is 450 passengers per hour.

In the city of Turkistan, the Uly Dala Eli Center, aimed at popularizing the national brand Country of the Great Steppe, opened its doors for tourists.

To increase the tourist potential of the city of Turkistan, it is planned to build a high-speed railway Turkistan - Shymkent - Tashkent.

In order to create beach recreation areas on the territory of the city, an artificial lake is being equipped, a rowing canal, a tourist and recreational zone are being built. Completion of the construction of the facilities is planned in 2022. With the aim of developing ski tourism in the Tolebi region, it is planned to build a project "tourist and recreational center Kaskasu". Currently, work is underway to carry out the engineering infrastructure.

In order to improve the investment and tourist climate in the region, as well as to popularize Turkistan as an international tourist center, on March 20-22 this year, an information tour was organized for the media representatives of the Turkic-speaking countries. The event was attended by about 30 media representatives from countries such as: Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Hungary.

For them, excursions were organized around the ethno-cultural sites of the Otrar region (Mausoleum Arystanbab, Visit Center), around the city of Turkistan (Mausoleum of K.A. Yassawi, tourist complex Karavan-Saray, Center Eli, Visit Center, Hanshayym Plaza, Alatau, Media Center). In addition, as part of an organized event dedicated to the Nauryz holiday, media representatives were introduced to the history of the Keme Kalgan monument in the Kazygurt region, as well as national games and traditional Kazakh dishes.

Later, photo and video materials were published in print media and on TV channels, including NTV Azerbaijan, Dunio Boilab, Ozbekistan24, Madaniyat va Marifat, Pyramida, Kyrgyz Tuusu, ElTR MTRK, ANADOLU, TRT, Magyar Nemzet.

In order to popularize and attract tourists to the region in the city of Bandung of the Republic of Indonesia, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Indonesia and with the support of the Tourism Department of the Turkistan region in order to develop inbound tourism, as well as the presentation of historical and cultural objects of the region, a meeting was organized with representatives of the Pilgrimage Association and Umrah. During the event, an advertising video about the tourism potential of the Turkistan region was presented to representatives of the Association of Pilgrimage and Umrah of Indonesia, travel companies and representatives of the tourism sector. Indonesian travel companies showed interest in tourism in the Turkistan region and noted that together with the regional travel companies it is necessary to organize an information tour to form common tourism products.

On March 15, an information tour was organized for the representatives of the press of the Atyrau region in connection with the opening of the flight Turkistan - Atyrau, Atyrau - Turkistan and in order to get acquainted with the cultural centers of the region. The purpose of the information, consisting of 2 days, was to demonstrate the tourism potential of the region. The journalists visited the objects of the Kazygurt region, the Otyrar settlement, the Arystan Bab mausoleum and the city of Turkistan.

On April 20, 131 domestic and foreign tour operators arrived in Turkistan to get acquainted with the new tourist facilities of the city, including the multifunctional complex Caravan-Saray. Information stands have been set up at Rixos Turkistan Hotel and Hazret Sultan International Airport. For representatives of the tourist business, promotional events were held on the types of tourism in the Turkistan region, new interesting objects, etc.

In addition, videos were filmed, which were later broadcast on LED screens located on the streets and in shopping centers of the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty. Also in the in-flight magazine Aspan, an article was published on the tourism potential of the region, and an advertising design was developed to describe the region in the SCAT Airlines boarding pass.

Information about tourist sites in the city of Turkistan is published on the portal for travelers Tripadvisor.com. The information portals of Kazakhstan: Tengrinews and NUR.kz published articles aimed at promoting the tourism potential of the Turkestan region. Together with the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 27-28, 2021, in Turkistan, a tourist forum of The Great Silk Road - Great Heritage was organized. Within the framework of the forum, issues of holding a scientific and practical conference in the field of training in the tourism sector with the participation of leading world universities, preservation of historical and cultural heritage and contribution to the development of tourism, taking into account international experience, were discussed.

In the period from 11 to 22 February, 2021, in the Turkistan region, 50 people received training as guides. Also from 15 to 18 September this year. in order to improve the professional level for hotel workers, a training seminar was held on the opening of guest houses on the territory of the region in Tolebi, Ordabasy districts.

Also, given the importance of providing highly qualified personnel in the field of tourism in Turkistan, the International University of Tourism and Hospitality has been established. It is expected that the opening of such a university will contribute to the consolidation of qualified personnel in the region. The training center was created on the initiative of the First President of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev and on behalf of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This is the first university in Kazakhstan that will train world-class specialists in the field of tourism.

The international airport Hazret Sultan has been built in Turkistan. Currently, there are regular flights in the directions Almaty - Turkistan, Nur-Sultan - Turkistan, Atyrau - Turkistan, Istanbul - Turkistan, Bishkek - Turkistan and Tashkent - Turkistan, etc.

There are 5 railway stations on the territory of the region — in Turkistan, Arys-1, Tulkubas, Saryagash, Mankent. There are also 4 railway stations — Arys-2, Temir, Shengeldy, Badam. In addition, there are 5 bus stations, 24 bus stations and 5 passenger service points in the region. Due to the inconsistency with the requirements of the national standard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on June 25, 2020, the work of the bus station Turkistan ortalyk and the bus stations Altyn Orda, Merey in the city of Turkistan were terminated. Today the Yassy and Altyn Bulak bus stations and the new Turkistan bus station operate in the city.

In order to further stimulate the tourist business at the legislative level, work is underway to introduce the following measures of state support:

- lowering the threshold for recognizing an investment project as a priority (from 2 million to 200 thousand MCI);

- subsidizing the costs of tour operators for each foreign tourist;

- reimbursement of costs during the construction of tourist facilities and roadside service facilities;

- 100% refund of the carriage charge for children on domestic routes (KIDS GO FREE);

- reimbursement of expenses for the purchase of tourist class vehicles and ski equipment;

- subsidizing the costs of maintaining the SSU;

- the introduction of a tourist contribution to the local budgets.

At the end of the first half of 2021, the number of served visitors to the Turkistan region amounted to 95,587 people, which is 231.8% more compared to the corresponding period of 2020 (41,227 people). Among them, 870 people are non-residents, this figure is 272% more compared to the same period last year. In general, last year the number of non-residents served by accommodation facilities amounted to 1,235 people.

Also, according to the results of 10 months of 2021, the number of "one-day visitors" to the city of Turkistan amounted to 1,330 thousand people.

The volume of services provided by the placements at the end of the first half of this year amounted to 1,787,125.3 thousand tenge. Compared to the same period last year, the indicator increased by 407% (I half of 2020 — 439,006.4 thousand tenge).

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of ASPIR RK, in the first half of this year. the number of people employed in the provision of accommodation and catering services in the Turkistan region is 17,400 people. In turn, 905 new jobs were opened on the territory of the region following the results of 9 months of 2021 due to tourist investment projects.

Tourism is becoming one of the promising sectors of the economy of the Turkistan region. The region is located at the junction of the rapidly developing regions of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, important railways pass through the territory of the Turkestan region (Turkistan-Siberian and Orenburg and Tashkent railways, as well as the trans-Asian highway from Shanghai and Beijing to Ankara and Istanbul). As during the Great Silk Road, the Turkestan region is located on the route of international goods and in the prospect of tourists.

In general, the region is rich in ethno-cultural and historical resources. Within its limits there are 1,754 monuments of history and culture, incl. 1 object of international significance (the mausoleum of Kh.A. Yassawi), 31 objects of republican significance, 421 objects of local significance, 1,301 objects in the preliminary list. The territory of the Turkistan region is rich not only in cultural and historical architectural monuments, but also in the presence of various interesting natural objects, which are mainly located in the mountainous and foothill parts of the region. These natural, or natural objects, in their origin are directly related to the geological structure and geological history of the area.

The region has all the prerequisites for the development of ecotourism, rural, educational tourism, travel in extreme natural conditions. The main objects of ecotourism are specially protected areas: the Karatau and Aksu-Dzhabaglinsky state natural reserves, the Sairam-Ugam national natural park, the Syrdariya-Turkistan regional natural park, as well as individual unique natural sites, to which one-day routes are widely developed. These include: Mount Kazygurt, the Akbura spring, the Kyryk Shilten ravine, the Zhilakata aulie, the Mashat gorge.

Lovers of extreme tourism will find the sands of the Kyzyl Kum desert and the highlands of the Tien Shan, mines, mine workings, caves, etc. It should be especially noted the prospects for the development of extreme, educational tourism and ecotourism on the territory of the Aksu-Zhabagly state reserve. Aksu-Zhabagly and Karatau State Natural Reserves have the status of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Mangystau region: Domestic seaside resort

In 2020, 582.3 billion tenge of investments or IFO 102.9% were attracted to the Mangistau region. Compared to 2019, this indicator increased by 2.9% (2019 - 556.5 billion tenge). Of these, thanks to the implementation of the project of Multifunctional tourist and hotel complex of Rixos Water World Aktau, more than 70 billion tenge were attracted to the tourism industry.

For 10 months of 2021, a total of 474.0 billion tenge was attracted or IFO amounted to 100.6%, which, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, is more by 0.6% (in January-October 2020, the volume of investments amounted to 450 billion tenge ). Of these, more than 30 billion tenge were invested in the tourism industry thanks to projects being implemented on the territory of the Warm Beach district of Aktau. By the end of the year, it is expected to launch 4 projects with an investment volume of more than 100 billion tenge. One of the investors implementing projects on the territory of the Warm Beach district of Aktau is a Turkish company.

In general, the basis of the tourist product of the region is the development of beach tourism, which is an anchor direction with high potential. As you know, the beach season here lasts from May to September. The region is rightfully the center of the country's beach tourism. This is facilitated by the functioning of a number of recreation centers (Tree of life, Steegle, Sunset, Silver Sands, Saya, Komarovo, etc.) on the coast of the Caspian Sea, which offer comfortable two- and three-room houses , cottages with sea views, sports fields for beach soccer, volleyball, water parks and other amenities for visitors. In addition to the projects of the resort zone, operating bases, there are other tourist sites aimed at the development of ecological, sacred tourism with a demonstration of natural attractions.

Important links in ecological tourism are specially protected natural areas, where unique natural complexes and objects of historical and cultural heritage attractive to tourists are located. Today there are 12 specially protected natural areas in the region. 5 of republican significance: state nature reserves Ustyurt, Kenderli-Kayasan, state nature reserves Karakiya-Karakol (zoological), Aktau-Buzashi (zoological), Mangyshlak experimental botanical garden. 7 of regional significance: the state regional nature park Kyzylsay, the state nature reserves Adamtas, Tasorpa, Zhabayushkan, Shadow, Eset and Manashi.

With the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, work is underway to develop the transport and engineering infrastructure of the Warm Beach area. Thanks to this, in July 2020, the 1st stage of the project Multifunctional tourist and hotel complex Rixos Water World Aktau was launched (investment volume — 68 billion tenge; by the end of 2020, the hotel was visited by 78,518 people; more than 600 people were employed, concluded more than 140 contracts with SMEs).

In addition, the Holiday Inn Aktau water park and swimming pool construction project was launched in August 2020. The project cost was 1.6 billion tenge, 50 new jobs were created.

As part of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin in November 2020, the second stage of development of the resort zone was launched, within which, within two years, large projects of Tethys International Touristic Hub LTD (theme park , golf club, shopping center, hotels), BI Group (construction of a complex of villas and apartments) and corporation Bazis-A (construction of a resort and hotel complex Aqualina Resort). In general, in the tourism industry in the region in the period 2021-2025 it is planned to implement 13 projects for a total amount of over 300 billion tenge with the creation of more than a thousand jobs.

In 2021, it is planned to launch 5 projects worth more than 190 billion tenge.

1. Golf Club. Golf hotel with villas, TETHYS AKTAU I LLP (project cost — 89.8 billion tenge, 216 jobs, launched in December 2021);

2. Theme park, LLP TETHYS AKTAU II (project cost — 47.6 billion tenge, 256 jobs launched in December 2021);

3. Shopping arcade Town Center, LLP TETHYS AKTAU III (project cost — 34.9 billion tenge, 44 jobs, launched in December 2021);

4. Complex of villas and apartments, Dream Village LLP (project cost — 37 billion tenge, 1st stage — 6.6 billion tenge, 80 new jobs, 2nd stage — 31.1 billion tenge, implementation period 2021-2022);

5. Resort and hotel complex Aqualina Resort, Caspian Plaza LLP (project cost 28 billion tenge, 1st stage — 12 billion tenge, 30 jobs, 2nd stage — 16 billion tenge, launch of the 1st stage in 4 quarter 2021, launch of the 2nd stage in 2022).

Of these, in July, in the amount of 47.6 billion tenge, a theme amusement park was launched. The theme park (12.8 hectares) consists of the following facilities: a social services center, slides and attractions (attraction Snorri, Power splash, Interactive Boat Ride, etc.), a carousel, a Ferris wheel, places for daytime and night activities, an entertainment area for adults — playgrounds, an entertainment area for children — playgrounds, performance areas, food courts, cafes / restaurants, swimming pools, parking.

It is planned to implement 8 projects with the participation of local companies. In 2022, it is planned to implement 4 projects worth 53.3 billion tenge with the creation of 487 jobs.

  1. Expansion of the Dostar hotel complex in Aktau — Dostar Company LTD LLP (project cost — 400 million tenge, 40 jobs);
  2. Construction of the Sartas visitor center in the Tupkaragan region, KZ Neftemash LLP (project cost — 248 million tenge, 25 jobs);
  3. Construction of Ethnoaul in Karakiyan district, private company Tethys Aktau IV (project cost — 39.8 billion tenge, 132 jobs);
  4. Recreation center of Flamingo Resort, LLP Flamingo (project cost — 12.9 billion tenge, 290 jobs).

In 2023, it is planned to implement 3 projects worth 17.6 billion tenge with the creation of 460 jobs.

  1. Recreation complex Nur, LLP SKR-Snab. (cost — 9.5 billion tenge, 240 jobs);
  2. Hotel Assyl Aktau. Assyl Aktau LLP. (project cost — 6 billion tenge, 130 jobs);

In 2024, it is planned to implement 1 project in the amount of 2 billion tenge with the creation of 55 jobs.

There is also the prospect of further development of the Warm Beach resort zone. The implementation of new investment projects in the hotel business is being worked out:

4. Hotel complex Nomad Aktau (LLP Nomad Aktau, project cost — 650 million tenge, 20 jobs).

Mangystau is a region with a unique potential for tourism development, where there are sacred and sacred places, natural masterpieces, a unique way of life and age-old traditions. In order to further intensify and popularize the development of tourism, together with the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan and JS NC Kazakh Tourism, tourist destinations have been identified that allow you to see the beauty of the region.

The first direction in the Karakiya region is the Bozzhyra gorge (from Aktau to Bozzhir the distance is 300 km. You can visit the Bozzhyra gorge and see the Karakiya depression, the city of Zhanaozen, Tuyesu sands near the Senek village);

The second direction in the Tupkaragan region is the Sartas route (from Aktau to the Sartas area, the distance is 135 km. This route includes Zhygylkan, Fort-Shevchenko, Kapamsay, underground mosques Sultan-epe, Shakpak ata);

Today, the Mangystau College of Tourism operates in the region, which implements curricula for vocational and technical education. The educational institution was created created to meet the needs of the population in the educational sphere — to train specialists necessary for our region in the field of tourism. The training of personnel with technical and vocational education is carried out by 57 highly qualified teachers.

The basis for the implementation of educational activities, in addition to personnel, is the quality of the material and technical base of the educational institution. At the Mangystau College of Tourism, it is quite developed: its own free-standing building, 24 rooms for general education, 4 rooms for special disciplines, 8 laboratories, 3 computer rooms, 2 language laboratories, 25 sets of interactive equipment, a library with a reading room, a gym, a museum, a climbing wall and etc. At the end of the 2020 academic year, 186 college graduates received education in Tourism.

Within the framework of the signed memorandum between the akimat of the Mangystau region and JSC Fine Hotel Tourism (Rixos) on the basis of the Mangystau College of Tourism, 1,520 certificates were issued in the period from December 2019 to January 2020.

The hotel Rixos Water World Aktau employs 660 people, of which 571 people are employed with the certificates of the Mangystau College of Tourism.

The Mangystau region has a powerful transit, transport, logistics and infrastructure and service potential of international importance as a border region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, entering the multinational system of the Caspian region. Two international transport corridors TRACECA and North-South run through the territory of the region, connecting Eastern Europe with Central Asia and Northern Europe with the countries of the Persian Gulf.

The favorable geographical location of the region on the Caspian Sea coast provides proximity to the countries generating the main tourist flows, since Mangystau borders on 5 countries. Aktau is recognized as the western gateway of Kazakhstan, being an important link at the intersection of the TRACECA and North-South transport corridors. In this regard, Aktau can act as both a transshipment and a warehouse point for transportation between Europe and Asia.

From here, there are flights to 8 domestic and 16 international destinations. From Aktau through Moscow, Istanbul, Baku and Kiev, you can get to anywhere in the world.

By road, the main foreign directions are Russia (via Astrakhan), Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan. And thus, new opportunities are opening up for the transportation of goods in the directions China - Europe, China - the countries of the Persian region, China - Iran, which require the development of the transport infrastructure of the Caspian region.

According to the information of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from Jan. 1, 2020, there is an exemption from income tax for small and micro-enterprises that apply special tax regimes. This measure covered more than 1.2 million micro and small businesses. The total amount of benefits exceeded 380 billion tenge. The business was able to use the saved money to increase its working capital.

Also, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the adopted Law on Tourism Activities, to improve the investment climate, lowered the threshold for recognizing an investment project in the tourism sector as a priority from 2 million MCI to 200 thousand MCI, which makes it possible to obtain investment preferences.

- reduction of the amount of the calculated CIT by 100% for 10 years;

- application of the coefficient 0 to the land tax rates for 10 years;

- calculation of property tax at a rate of 0% to the tax base for 8 years.

According to the official data of the Department of the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms in the Mangystau region, at the end of the 1st half of 2021, the number of visitors served by accommodation facilities amounted to 139,082 people, which, compared to the same period in 2020, increased by 3.1 times (6 months of 2020 — 45,018 people). Of these, the number of tourists for domestic tourism was 134,283 people, for inbound tourism — 4,799 people.

There are 95 registered places of accommodation, of which 74 are hotels; rest houses — 1 (Kenderli); hostels — 4; campgrounds — 1; one-story houses, bungalows, cottages, apartments and other accommodation places — 11; children's health camps — 4. The volume of services rendered by the places of accommodation amounted to 3.1 billion tenge, which compared to the same period in 2020 (1 billion tenge) increased by 3.1 times (6 months of 2020 — 1 billion tenge).

The one-time capacity of accommodation places is 7,144 beds, the average bed occupancy is 19.8%, bed rooms — 22.7%, the number of rooms handed over is 127,489, 179,339 bed days provided; the average cost of a bed-day was 12,476 tenge. The number of visitors served by type of accommodation: in hotels — 117,651, one-story houses, bungalows, cottages, apartments and other accommodation — 2,684, holiday homes — 11,559, other types of housing — 1,165, hostels — 774 people.*

The tourism industry includes includes several related sectors of the economy, in particular 14 types of economic activities, such as accommodation services, catering services, passenger transport, rail transport, art, entertainment and recreation, car rental and others.

In 2020, 110 km of roads were built and 264 km of roads were repaired.

For reference: reconstruction and construction: Ata Zholy 1st stage (51 km), Ata Zholy 2nd stage (46 km), construction of a highway on the street. Tokabay Kurmash in the village of Beineu (1.2 km), construction of highways in the microdistrict Tolybai, Sayotes village, Mangystau district, Mangystau region (5.6 km), construction of the Shetpe-Kyzan highway, 12.988 km of bridge crossing (0.7 km), construction of a 3 km highway in the village of Atameken (3 km), construction of a road on the street of D. Satimova and the construction of highways on the street of B. Aksambaeva in the village of Atash (2.6 km).

In 2020, 23.3 billion tenge were allocated for the construction, reconstruction and medium repair of highways, incl. for the repair and reconstruction of roads of the local network, 8.9 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget and 2.6 billion tenge was allocated from the local budget.

In addition, within the framework of the Employment Roadmap program, 7.7 billion tenge was allocated from the budget for the development of transport infrastructure. Within the framework of the project, 30 projects were implemented, 1,382 people were employed.

In 2019, the country adopted the project Auyl - El Besigi aimed at improving the quality of life of the rural population, in 2020, within the framework of the program in the villages of Beineu, Akshukur, Kyzyltobe, Bayandy, Baskuduk, more than 3.8 billion tenge was allocated. 46.1 km of roads were built and 47.4 km of roads were repaired.

In 2021, 4 projects are included in Auyl - El Besigі in the village of Zhetybai, Karakiyan district and 10 projects in the village of Sain Shapagatov, Tupkaragan district, construction and medium repair of 53.6 km of roads is underway for a total of 1.3 billion tenge.

In addition, in May, 1.617 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for the repair and construction of rural roads, work is underway to repair and build highways in the villages of Akzhigit, Kuryk, Bostan, Shetpe, Zhyngyldy, Baskuduk, Bayandy and Umirzak with a total length of 35.8 km ... Also, work is underway on 11 projects of regional and district significance with a length of 189.4 km.

In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State that in August 2018, Aktau should become a modern seaside resort, the implementation of the project for the reconstruction of the highway from the MAEK water intake canal to the Kuryk ferry complex was divided into 5 stages. At the moment, out of 5 stages, 4 have been implemented.

There are 44 travel companies in the region, of which 20 are tour operators and 24 are travel agents. 9 tour operators have developed 167 routes.

In 2020, within the framework of the Employment Roadmap-2020, the akimats of the Karakiyan, Mangystau and Tupkaragan districts installed 12 sanitary and hygienic units according to a single design. There are 4 SSUs installed in Karakiya district. 4 SSUs have been installed in Mangystau district. 4 SSUs have been installed in the Tupkaragan region.

Funds for the maintenance of sanitary and hygienic units in the area are planned at the expense of the maintenance and improvement of the sea coast. In the future, it is planned to transfer the SSU to the balance of rural akimats.
