Sanitary and epidemiological situation remains stable in Kazakhstan

The sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country was considered at the government session chaired by Prime Minister Askar Mamin.

Minister of Healthcare Alexey Tsoy reported on the stability of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country. The number of coronavirus patients registered daily is not increasing. The workload of infectious beds is 23%, intensive care beds — 20%.

To date, in terms of the spread of coronavirus infection, most regions (11) and the Republic of Kazakhstan as a whole are in the green zone. The city of Nur-Sultan, Akmola, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions remain in the yellow zone.

To date, more than 8.8 million people or 78% of the adult population have been vaccinated with the first component, and over 8.3 million people or 73% of the adult population have been vaccinated with the second component.

The Head of Government instructed to continue the observance of the mask regime, social distance and to increase the rate of vaccination and revaccination.
