Kanat Bozumbayev was born on January 8, 1969 in Almaty;

In 1993 he graduated from the Kazakh State Management Academy ("Economic and Social Planning" faculty);

Work experience: Economist in "Edem ltd" LLP (1993-1994);

Assistant of Mayor of Almaty city (1994-1997);

Director for Economic Affairs of "Almaz and Company" TPO (1997);

Head of Regional Policy Department of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1997);

Head of General Finance Department, Vice President for Economic Affairs ofthe "KazTransOil “ National oil transportation company”  closed joint-stock company(1997-1998);

Director of the Department of Oil and Gas of the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan (1998-2000);

Vice-Minister of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2000);
