Kazakhstan Armed Forces Parade held at Otar military base

A military parade marking the Day of Defender of the Fatherland has taken place today at the 40th military base "Otar". The first in the history of Kazakhstan and its armed forces military parade was held with the participation of President - Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, according to the press service of the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan.

                      

Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces Lieutenant General Murat Maikeyev reported the readiness of the troops to hold the parade to the President of Kazakhstan.

The peculiarity of today’s military parade was the demonstration of the military training and professional skills of officers and men, actual use of modern weapons and equipment of the Kazakh Army.

Ground troops and air defense forces fired missiles, bombs, demonstrated the live firing of all weapons. Aircrafts and helicopters of the army aviation of the Air Force performed a dogfight. Aerobatic teams "Zhetisu" and "Sunkar" performed aerobatics.

Totally, more than 7,000 military personnel and more than 400 units of military equipment, more than 80 aircrafts and helicopters took part in the parade.

Afterwards, Nursultan Nazarbayev, accompanied by Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and general officers of the Armed Forces, visited an exhibition of new and upgraded domestic military equipment. The exhibition was organized by Kazakhstan military-industrial enterprises, subsidiaries of JSC "National Company "Kazakhstan Engineering".

The Head of State was presented special technique of military, civilian and dual use, including staff, combat, medical, search and rescue vehicles, radio relay stations, terrain vehicle "Tulpar", EC-145 helicopter assembled in Kazakhstan, unmanned aerial vehicles, and other equipment and uniforms.

The first in the history of Kazakhstan military parade was broadcast live on all national channels of the country.
