During the meeting, the composition and work plan of the four ad hoc working groups established following the results of the previous meeting of the National Commission were discussed and approved. In particular, spelling, methodological, terminological, expert and technical working groups have been formed, which will work out rules and methods for the gradual introduction of the Latin alphabet into the educational system, systematize the terminological fund of the language, and also adapt the Latin graphics to information technologies. In addition, the issue of creating a scientific and methodological center, subordinate to the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan was considered.

Mynbay, a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament, B. Mamrayev, Ministers of Culture and Sports, A. Mukhamediuly, Education and Science, Y. Sagadiyev, Information and Communications, D. Abayev, director of the Institute of Linguistics named after A. Baytursynov, Y. Kazhybek, head of the Department of Culture and Speech of the Institute of Linguistics, N. Amirzhanova, leading researcher of the Institute of Linguistics, Zh. Alimhan, advisor to the chairman of Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Y. Sairov and others delivered speeches on the directions of work of the National Commission.
Recall, the National Commission for the translation of the Kazakh alphabet into the Latin script was established in November this year and is a consultative and advisory body under the Government.
The commission under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister includes: Deputy Chairman - Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, E. Dossaev, and members of the commission from among the representatives of the Administration of the President, the Nur Otan Party, deputies of the Parliament, representatives of universities, public figures.
According to the Action Plan, a phased translation of the Kazakh alphabet into Latin script is planned to be completed by 2025. The first stage is planned for 2018-2020, the second - 2021-2023, the third - 2024-2025.
