August 14 in Ukimet Uyi the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Government. The agenda included matters of the socio-economic development results and execution of the republican budget for 7 months of 2018, the implementation and actualization of the State Program for Business Support and Development “Business Roadmap 2020,” the progress of projects on provision of broadband internet access to rural settlements, development of 5G and data centers.
August 15 Sagintayev held a meeting on the development of the healthcare system.
August 16 the Prime Minister Sagintayev held a meeting on the development of higher and postgraduate education.
August 17 Sagintayev and Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev took part in the VII Session of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council in Ukimet Uyi.
Following the meeting, a ceremony of signing a number of documents took place. At the level of the Prime Ministers of the two countries, the protocol of the seventh meeting of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council was signed. The Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic on border crossing points on the state border of 25.12.2003 and the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan were adopted.
Also last week, the heads of government of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the opening ceremony of Chingiz Aitmatov Street in Astana.
