The Head of State congratulated Asset Issekeshev on his appointment to the post of the Head of the Presidential Administration and wished him achievements in his new responsible post.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed the professional and personal qualities of Asset Issekeshev, and also dwelt on the results of his work in the capital city’s growth.
Noting the merits of the ex-akim of Astana, Issekeshev, Nursultan Nazarbayev underscored the tasks facing the new leadership of the city.
"The appointment of the capital city’s akim has always been a special significance for me. The issues of city development, including construction of all facilities in the city, are constantly on my personal control. This is the most important priority for me. Bakhyt Sultanov has extensive experience in governmental administration and necessary organizational skills," the Head of State said.
During the meeting, the President of Kazakhstan pointed to a number of priority tasks facing Astana’s new leadership.
"It is necessary to introduce a new growth model. It is important to create a comfortable environment for promoting innovation and development of creative people. To do this, we need to work out a long-term strategy for the city's progress until 2050," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In addition, the Head of State stressed that it is necessary to continue the capital’s progress as a business financial hub, using the opportunities of Astana International Financial Centre.
The President of Kazakhstan separately focused on the construction of new housing, creation of favourable conditions for people to live and build social facilities.
Nursultan Nazarbayev has also pointed to the importance of maintaining the pace of development of the city's infrastructure and its preparation for gasification.
The President of Kazakhstan instructed to use the best practices in the growth of the city’s tourist potential.
Among Astana's further development priorities of, Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted the need to continue transforming the work of all city government structures, improving the quality of public services and implementing a digitalization program.
In conclusion, Issekeshev and Sultanov thanked the Head of State for the trust, and also expressed their readiness to continue contributing to Astana and the whole country’s development.
