During the meeting, the implementation and adjustment of the Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2016-2020 were discussed. The report on the fund’s risk management policy was heard and measures to improve the internal control system further were approved. In addition, the results of the Foundation’s charitable work were summed up, and a number of procedural issues were resolved.
A decision was made to transfer to the municipal property of akimats of the respective regional centers — JSC Atyrau International Airport, JSC Aktobe International Airport and JSC Pavlodar Airport. This decision was made taking into account the need to ensure transport accessibility and mobility of the population, as well as the social importance of airports for the development of regions.
It was noted that revenues from the core activities of the fund’s group of companies increased by 35% in 2018. Net profit increased by 2 times compared with the figures for 2017. Positive production financial results allowed the fund to continue and expand the implementation of social programs in healthcare, healthy lifestyles, medicine, education and charity.
During the meeting, the 2018 Annual Report on Implementation of the Fund’s Charity Program was reviewed. The charity operator on the fund’s behalf is the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Corporate Fund. In 2018, the Corporate Fund supported 32 charity projects worth more than 5.5 billion tenge, reaching more than 250,000 people. The areas cover the following categories: assistance to people, communities in the social and medical sectors, development of the media, cultural community, human potential, strengthening labor relations and investments in the sustainable development of society, as well as the implementation of the Regional Social Investment Program in the regions where the fund operates.
