Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov had a meeting with U.S. Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman today.
The issues of strengthening of bilateral trade and economic relations as well as development of investment cooperation were discussed at the meeting.
The interlocutors also addressed the issues regarding Kazakhstan’s WTO accession. Serik Akhmetov said that our country is interested to become a member of the WTO and the future of Kazakhstan’s economy is linked with this relevant international organization.
Wendy Sherman, in her turn, assured that the USA supports Kazakhstan’s intention to access the WTO.
The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the support and emphasized the importance of cooperation of the two states in a wide range of spheres.
