According to the akim, in 2018 the agricultural organizations of the district will have to harvest more than 202,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops, including wheat — 165,962 ha, barley — 233,499 ha, oats — 5,849 ha, oil crops — 17,037 ha , annual grasses — 10,239 hectares, potatoes — 289 hectares, vegetables — 185 hectares. So, 3,900 tons of diesel fuel was allocated for the autumn-field works at a fixed price.
"For today, grain crops are slanted on an area of 20,000 hectares, threshed from an area of 16,000 hectares, which is 10%, yield — 10 centners / hectare. Harvesting of cereals and legumes is done in two ways: by separate and direct combining. The harvesting by a separate method will be carried out on an area of 37,000 hectares, the remaining area of more than 165,000 hectares of cereals and leguminous crops will be harvested by direct combining. The harvest campaign involves 543 grain combines, including modern high-performance ones — 101 units, 126 tractor trains, 116 cars," Tatkeyev said.
The daily productivity of threshing grain crops in the area is 10,500 hectares. With such a development of the agricultural formation of the district, they plan to complete harvesting of crops within 19-20 days.
"It is planned to fill 29,000 tons of grain seeds, this time all the dry grain is reserved for seeds, until the seed plots are removed. By harvesting potatoes have just begun, a good harvest is expected. The area of harvesting vegetables by agricultural formations is 185.2 hectares, today 8.5 hectares are taken away," the akim noted.
According to the General Director of Akmola Feniks JSC Denis Pluzhnik, unfavorable weather conditions, increased humidity extended vegetation of plants, accordingly, the readiness for harvesting was delayed a little. However, for today cleaning is already at a normal pace.
"The rains delayed the beginning of harvesting in August. But at the moment everything went into rhythm. In principle, we expect that we will remove everything in time — until the end of September, unless, of course, the weather does not fail. We plan to collect 30,000 tons of grain and about 5,000 tons of peas," he specified.
As Pluzhnik noted, harvesting is now carried out on the area of 23,000 hectares. The harvested crop is sent to grain, where the processing of the products is carried out and sent to dry.
"On grain cleaning machines, we clean the grain of impurities, then send it to dry and fall asleep in warehouses. Operative bunkers for grain drying, three storage facilities for grain storage for 2,000 tons each, there are also storage areas for grain in sleeves of 200 tons. Wheat with good quality we sell to the market, forage sent to peas, barley, oats. Now we are testing soybeans and corn on our fields," Pluzhnik said.
In addition, the company plans to produce corn. This year there was the first production sowing on the territory of 20 hectares.
"We have been working with the Agrarian University, the departments of plant growing and agriculture for three years to test various varieties and hybrids in our zone for grain production. The results showed that it is possible to grow corn for grain, and this gives good results. Corn is already in the process of maturation, I think that we will get a good harvest. We are implementing a project to irrigate 623 hectares: we plan to cultivate soybeans and corn for grain in the future with expansion of the area," the company's director said.
In turn, the chief agronomist of Akmola Phoenix Beibut Abylkassymov stressed that Northern Kazakhstan is a zone of risky farming where it is impossible to predict the weather, but farmers always try to create favorable agrotechnical conditions for obtaining a good harvest.
"This year the precipitation was all right, whereas last year there was an anomalous heat. At the moment we are harvesting two areas. It's wheat and peas. This year we expect wheat yields in the range of 15-17 centners, for peas around 18 centners," Abylkassymov said.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this year grain crops will be harvested on an area of 15.1 million hectares. As of September 6, grain was harvested from an area of 3.1 million hectares (21%), 4.3 million tonnes of grain were harvested at a yield of 13.7 centner / ha. Yield in comparison with the corresponding period of the previous year is higher by 1.2 centners per hectare. About 11.8 million hectares of grain crops remain to be cleaned. Despite the weather conditions, the harvesting campaign is in full swing.
In general, the gross grain harvest is projected at more than 20 million tons. The export potential is estimated at 9 million tons, including 6 million tons of grain and 2.1 million tons of flour. As in previous years, the bulk of grain exports account for the share of countries that traditionally import Kazakh grain (Central Asian countries, Afghanistan, Iran). Certain volumes of grain will be supplied to the markets of China, Italy, Turkey, etc.
The total storage capacity of grain in the republic is 26.7 million tons, including 13.7 million tons at grain receiving enterprises, 13 million tons of agricultural producers.
