Today, as part of the working trip to Almaty, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the IVF Center of the Institute of Reproductive Medicine (IRM), where high-tech medical care and infertility treatment are at the level of international health standards.

During the visit, Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the work of the registry, call center, working classrooms and IVF laboratory. In her turn, the director of the institute Tamara Dzhusubaliyeva informed the Prime Minister about the activities of the center, the fulfillment of obligations within the framework of social responsibility, as well as about scientific activities and achievements in reproductive medicine.

It should be noted that in 2017, 300 Almaty families received appropriate medical assistance at the expense of the local akimat, and about 700 people are in the queue.

The new clinic is built taking into account international requirements and is provided with modern equipment. Its feature is a completely isolated operating unit and an embryological laboratory. This enables to maintain the microclimate and supply sterile air of constant temperature and humidity. Such a system of "clean rooms" allows obtaining high clinical results, which significantly increases the effectiveness of treatment.

In addition, the clinic is a prime example of the development of medical tourism in Almaty. According to the director of the IRM, the provided medical services are not inferior to foreign analogues and have a lower cost. High qualification of doctors, modern equipment and loyalty to the laws of Kazakhstan attract a large flow of foreigners. For two years, the number of patients who arrived in Almaty from Turkey, China, Germany, Russia and the United States for medical tourism has increased several times. In its turn, the IRM clinic can host up to 3000 families each year.

For reference:

48.4 billion tenge was allocated to finance the health care system of the Almaty region in 2017. As of October 1, 31.6 billion tenge or 65.3% of the annual plan has been executed.

The construction of a polyclinic in the village of Tausamaly, a pathoanatomical bureau and eight buildings for a total of 6.3 billion tenge is underway. At eight sites, seismic reinforcement is being carried out with rehabilitation works and capital repair for a total of 2.9 billion tenge. In 2017, a new clinic in the Nauryzbay district of the city, built in the framework of the program “Tugan Zher”, has been commissioned, where screening research on early detection of stomach cancer is carried out in addition to primary medical care. Also, departments of X-ray diagnostics, offices of ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, thoracic and abdominal coloproctology and others have been opened in the clinic. In addition, there is an electronic registry, a call center functions, ambulance teams are based for an operational trip to the residents of the Nauryzbay district. In the near future, a medical facility will be opened in the Kalkaman microdistrict.
