Akim of Mangistau region, Yeraly Tugzhanov delivered a report on measures for socio-economic development of the region.
So, for January-September of 2017, in the manufacturing industry, production volumes increased by 4.1% and amounted to 119 billion tenge. The volume of cargo transportation in the region for January-September amounted to 169.7 million tons, which is 7.5% higher than in the same period in 2016. This year, within the framework of the Business Support Card of Mangistau region, it is planned to launch seven projects for a total of more than 71.5 billion tenge, creating 450 new permanent jobs. Since the beginning of this year, two projects have been commissioned for a total of 1.2 billion tenge.
In the field of transport and infrastructure development, the construction of a ferry complex in the port of Kuryk is continuing as part of the Nurly Zhol program. There are works on the reconstruction and repair of highways Shetpe-Zhetybai-Aktau, Beineu-Akzhigit-the border of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zhetybai-Zhanaozen, Aktau-Kuyulus, Fort-Shevchenko-the 43rd kilometer of the Aktau-Kalamkas and Fort-Shevchenko-Tauchik-Shetpe.
Further, the director of the desalination plant “Caspian”, Vladimir Murashko spoke on the issues of increasing the amount of desalinated water, chairman of the regional council of veterans, Serikbai Touletov on the environmental situation in the region, the public figure Dorzhok Seybagytov on the reconstruction of major transport highways, the chairman of the public council of the Munayli district of Aktau, Tabyldy Amirov on the development of rural medical outpatient clinics.
In addition, the secretary of the Tupkaragan district maslikhat, Aikumis Dossanova raised the topic of schools with three-shift training, a deputy of the regional maslikhat, Dmitry Klinchev spoke on the general development plan for Aktau, and the general director of FC Buzachi Operating Ltd, Jingcheng Liu and the general director of Ozenmunaigas, Bekzat Abayildanov – on topical issues of the activities of oil producing companies and oilfield service companies.
The Minister for Investments and Development Zhenis Kassymbek, Vice Minister of Energy Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Vice Minister of Healthcare Alexei Tsoy, Vice Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov and Vice Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin gave their comments on the issues raised. They reported on their work plans on the solution of the voiced questions.
Summarizing the meeting, the Prime Minister noted that the region shows a good dynamics of development, as a result of which, it managed to reach a positive pace for such indicators of development as investments in fixed assets and construction volumes.
At the same time, it was noted that the main task for the region's leadership is to preserve and create jobs, especially among young people.
In this direction, besides the tools of the Program of Productive Employment and Mass Entrepreneurship, additional measures are being implemented, such as production practice, the mentoring institute, grant targeted training and retraining of personnel, as well as the implementation of the regional program "Zhana serpin".
In addition, it was noted that the region recorded a high rate of population growth, which obliges local authorities to actively address the construction of housing and social facilities. At present, the pace of housing construction in the region is quite high, the state program "Nurly Zher" is being actively implemented. Since the beginning of the year, 665,000 square meters of housing have been commissioned, the growth rate is almost 36%, but this issue should always be kept under control.
As for the social infrastructure, in the current year, construction of nine new schools have been started in the region, which should solve the problem of three-shift education, most of them are financed under the state program "Nurly Zhol".
As part of the solution to the issue of drinking water shortage, the first stage of modernization of the only desalination plant "Caspian" has been carried out, which allowed increasing the plant's capacity to 20 thousand cubic meters of water per day.
