During the working visit to Almaty, the Head of State saw Abay and Nursultan Nazarbayev Avenues, where the pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure was reconstructed and improved.
The city akim Bauyrzhan Baibek informed the President of Kazakhstan about the new method of architectural and city planning regulation introduced in the pilot mode – the urban environment design code. This method is a detailed in one document rules and recommendations for forming a single style of the metropolis.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev inspected the street-road network of the BRT high-speed line, laid along Timiryazev and Zhandosov Streets, with a total length of 8.7 km.
During the visit to the Almaty’s industrial zone, the Head of State was informed about the results of the activity and perspective plans for its development.
Nursultan Nazarbayev got acquainted with the production cycle of the KMK Investment Company LLP for manufacturing high-tech cable and wire products, and also saw samples of manufactured products.
Addressing the workers of the enterprise, the President of Kazakhstan noted the importance of using modern technologies and equipment in production that allow producing competitive products of European quality.
In addition, the Head of State inspected the samples of finished products and got acquainted with the automated production of the metal gabion mesh at the plant of Tokyo Rope Almaty LLP.
The Head of State also visited the Falcon Eurobus LLP. During the visit, the Head of State heard a report on the plant's activities and got acquainted with the technological process for manufacturing third-generation electric vehicles.
Private investments amounting to 15 billion tenge have been attracted for implementing the project. As part of the government support, the akimat of Almaty city allocated land and water supply networks and electricity lines for the amount of 2 billion tenge. The plant with a production capacity of 100 electric vehicles a year will create jobs for more than 1,000 people.
During the visit to the AlmatyGenPlan Research Institute LLP, the President of Kazakhstan got acquainted with the work of the situation centre, which is a large data platform (Big Data) for effective city management. Integration of 10 city and national systems allows you to analyze information on the city traffic, the daily volume of passenger traffic in public transport, utilization of schools and kindergartens, the crime rate, and monitoring of budget execution.
In addition, Nursultan Nazarbayev saw a holographic layout of Almaty as a 3D projection with the possibility of scaling, imitation and modelling of various processes in the metropolis.
Following the visit to AlmatyGenPlan Research Institute LLP, the Head of State has given a number of instructions for the city’s further development.
