Ensuring employment: Bakytzhan Sagintayev visits Employment Center in Taraz

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the Employment Center of the Akimat of Taraz city as part of the working trip to the Zhambyl region. In the center he familiarized himself with the work carried out to provide quality services in the field of employment and microcredit provision for the self-employed and unemployed population.

During the visit to the operating room, Sagintayev was informed that the renovated office of the Employment Center was commissioned in October 2017. The building has the necessary technical equipment, an electronic queue system has been implemented, and integration with the work of the electronic labor exchange has been ensured. Today, the number of employers on the e-Exchange portal has increased by 73%, the time for receiving services has decreased by 20%, the possibilities of employees of the Citizens' Employment Center have increased by 31%, and the demand for vacancies by applicants through the portal has increased by 15%. In total in the country, for the third quarter of 2018, 255,843 vacancies and 121,557 resumes were posted on the electronic labor exchange.

The main task of the Employment Center is to create the necessary conditions for receiving timely and high-quality social services by service recipients. The Director of the Employment Center Y. Kenesbekov reported that as of Sep. 1, 2018, the center provided necessary services to 8,125 applicants. Among the services: registration of job seekers; referral to active employment promotion measures; consultation and acceptance of documents for the appointment of "targeted social assistance" of the new format; and consultation on the implementation of the program for the development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship.

In total, there are 11 Employment Centers in the region. The First Deputy Akim of the region B. Orynbekov said that in the first nine months 2018, 20,978 people were employed, 4,964 unemployed were sent to community service, and 4,169 people were retrained and trained. Total of 6,586 new jobs were created, of which 4,898 are permanent, 1,688 are temporary jobs. Short-term vocational training courses were attended by 2,999 people, of whom 1,361 people were employed.
