Sergey Konovalov appointed vice minister of social development

By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sergey Konovalov was appointed to the position of vice minister of social development of Kazakhstan.

Sergey Konovalov was born in 1976 in the East Kazakhstan region. In 1998 he graduated from the Semipalatinsk State University.

He started his career in 1993. In 1998-2000, he worked as a junior researcher and senior laboratory assistant of the Institute of Philosophy and Political Science of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2000-2002, he was Chief Specialist of the Department of Internal Policy of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Public Accord of Kazakhstan, Chief Expert of the Secretariat of the Security Council of Kazakhstan.

In 2002-2008, he worked in the structure of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was a chief expert of the Domestic Policy Department, head of the sector, chief inspector of the Information and Analytical Center.

In 2008-2016, he was a consultant, head of the sector of the Center for Strategic Research and Analysis of the Presidential Administration.

In 2016-2018 he was head of sector of the Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From March 2018 to the present he held the post of Deputy Head of the General Security Issues Division of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
