The main events of the week from 3 to 8 July 2017

The current week is marked by the celebration of the Day of the Capital of Kazakhstan. Start of the festive events was given by the Head of State at the solemn ceremony of raising the National Flag.

On the occasion of the Day of Astana President N. Nazarbayev also made a speech at the reception with the participation of the Deputies of the Parliament, members of the Government, representatives of state bodies, the diplomatic corps, intellectuals, business and polite society.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Sagintayev chaired a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on consumer protection issues and the privatization process took place. At the end of the meeting, representatives of the Ministries of National Economy and Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan answered live questions on all issues of interest to the media.

Work on modernization of the economy is continuing. On July 3, at a regular meeting of the State Commission, Bakytzhan Sagintayev was informed about the implementation of the investment project "Construction of an Integrated Gas and Chemical Complex in the Atyrau Region" (Phase I) and presented measures to improve the banking sector.

On July 4, members of the Tax Advisory Council, chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev, discussed the issues of improving the tax policy and considered the application of the norms of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan with respect to banking institutions.

On Wednesday, July 5, Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting to discuss further bilateral cooperation with Germany, Latvia and Spain.
