The II International Scientific and Practical Conference was held in the framework of a series of expert meetings in Astana on the topic "Modernization 3.0: Ruhani Zhangyru". The participants of the conference discussed the project "Modern Kazakhstan culture in the global world", and considered socio-political trends in the context of the Third Modernization.

Before giving the floor to the speakers, the moderator of the conference - Director of the Institute of Eurasian Integration Gani Nygymetov emphasized that today the Institute carries out a number of studies on the modernization of public consciousness.

In particular, public opinion is being studied on actual issues of the country's domestic and foreign policy, state communication policy, as well as the modernization process. These sociological studies demonstrate support by the population of the processes of modernization of public consciousness announced by the President.

Thus, more than 80% of Kazakhstanis believe that modernization of public consciousness is necessary for the further development of Kazakhstan. In their opinion, the preservation of their culture, their own national code is a key factor in the success of modernization. Thus, 79% of those surveyed consider adherence to folk traditions and customs accepted in the family as an important component of their lives.

The first three values included civil peace and harmony, harmony in interethnic relations, hospitality and hospitality of the people of Kazakhstan. Every fifth respondent is proud of the caring attitude of our society towards traditions.

Secretary of the National Commission for the Implementation of the Program for Modernization of Public Consciousness under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of the project's working group, the Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Aida Balayeva spoke on the progress of this project.

"The Ruhani Zhangyru program is a large-scale process of value management.The project "Modern Kazakhstan culture in the global world" takes a special place in it, since it is directly connected with the values of development. Its main task is to see, evaluate and show the world the tops of Kazakhstan’s cultural achievement. They will become the foundation for its breakthrough at the international level," Aida Balayeva explained.

She noted that now the working group is entering the final stage of selecting the best works and performers. According to her, this was preceded by a lot of work. For the first time an inventory of cultural achievements during the years of independence was carried out, the gold fund of the national culture was systematized.

"The project will be a kind of cut that will give our culture a new way of shining," Aida Balayeva emphasized.

She detailed the problems that arise in the sphere of culture, art and sport, its humanitarian, cultural and political role in the formation, strengthening and preservation of the national consciousness.

In addition, Chairman of the Committee for International Information of the MFA RK Talgat Zhumagulov, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts of the MCS RK Almaz Nurazkhan, Director of the Institute of the State History of the Science Committee of the MES RK, PhD of History, Professor Burkitbai Ayagan, Director General of the Kazakh Institute of Culture of the MCS RK Andrei Khazbulatov, foreign expert, assistant professor of the Nazarbayev University Charles Sullivan, famous culturologist and screenwriter Zira Naurzbaeva and other scientists and public figures spoke at the conference. More than 100 representatives of state bodies, scientific and expert-analytical community of Kazakhstan and abroad took part in the conference.
