Kazakhstan will develop a roadmap for introducing new technologies from Expo-2017

The Minister of Education and Science Yerlan Sagadiyev and the First Vice Minister of Energy Makhambet Dosmukhambetov reported about this at the meeting of the Government chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

Yerlan Sagadiyev reported that a working group on the introduction of new "green" technologies was established under the MES RK following the results of the Expo-2017 exhibition.

The expert working group monitored new technologies in international pavilions. All technologies were selected in the following areas: oil and gas, coal industry, nuclear industry, electric power, energy saving, waste management, renewable energy, air quality control, etc.

Nine memorandums on cooperation with Kazakhstan and foreign universities have already been signed. In particular, the proposal for mutual cooperation was expressed by the universities of Korea, Latvia, Hungary, France, Poland, China, Britain, Spain and other countries.

In turn, according to First Deputy Minister of Energy Makhambet Dosmukhambetov, Ministry of Energy also established an expert working group to develop proposals on the possible use of new technologies in Kazakhstan at the Expo-2017 exhibition.

“A meeting with representatives of companies and organizations was held on September 12, where mechanisms for the introduction of selected technologies were discussed. The process of implementing the selected technologies is long and it will be implemented in accordance with the Roadmap developed by the ME RK,” M. Dosmukhambetov reported.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed his deputy Yerbolat Dossayev to summarize the developments of the MES RK and the ME RK on this issue and consider the possibility of a unified Roadmap composition for the introduction of new technologies.
