Kazakhstan to use widely the Expo-2017 technologies in Education

Today during the press conference in the Government, the Chairman of the Science Committee of the MES RK Bolatbek Abdrassilov told about the application of new technologies, presented at the Expo-2017 in Education sphere of Kazakhstan.

Bolatbek Abdrassilov informed that the MES RK has formed a working group to study and analyze exhibition objects of Astana Expo-2017 in order to use them in scientific and education spheres of Kazakhstan.

The ideas and projects of interest for Kazakhstan can be divided into three groups: scientific ideas and commercially available innovations; technologies and applications; educational methods and technologies.

In total, 55 universities and RSIs of the MES RK visited the Expo-2017 exhibition. More than a hundred meetings and negotiations with the representatives of participating countries were held. Nine memorandums on cooperation were signed. Also the universities reached more than 20 agreements on bilateral cooperation.

For example, KazNU after al-Farabi has reached an agreement with the Korean partners to conduct joint research on the development of new technologies for renewable energy sources, the University of Latvia - on the research of new promising materials.

ENU after L. N. Gumilyev agreed with partners from Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland on the transfer of technologies in the field of electric power generation.

Aktobe State University after K. Zhubanov will begin cooperation with representatives of the PRC on developing models for energy solutions using 3D technologies.

Karaganda State Industrial University with the University of Sheffield, University of Warrick, Royal College of London signed an agreement "On the expansion and strengthening of international relations in research and innovation", etc.

Further work in the field of higher education and scientific research will be continued on the basis of bilateral agreements.

In addition, within the framework of the exhibition use of Expo-2017 materials in the educational process of educational institutions, it is envisaged to create a single digital educational resource based on the scientific materials of the exhibition. The content, which will be placed on accessible educational platforms, will include the educational resources of both rural and urban schools in Kazakhstan.
