Today in Ukimet Uyi Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors of Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

During the meeting the participants discussed the process of transformation of Samruk-Kazyna, reporting in the field of sustainable development and annual report for 2016, as well as an internal audit service report following the results of 6 months and a report on risks for the second quarter of 2017.  

In addition, the investment policy was discussed, as well as the issues of investments in new industries and introduction of changes in the key figures of activities of the Fund Governance for the current year.

Samruk-Kazyna Fund was founded in 2008 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is an investment holding whose mission is to increase the national welfare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and support the modernization of the national economy. The Fund manages portfolio companies - to increase their long-term value and sustainable development, as well as through investing in the development of priority sectors of the national economy.
