Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave specific instructions on strengthening work in the period of abnormally cold weather

Opening the regular meeting of the Government, Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev, beyond the agenda, raised the issues of the anomalous cold weather in the country and gave a number of specific instructions.

The Prime Minister noted that according to hydrometeorologists, such weather will last for several more days. Currently, in six regions of the country, the air temperature is below 30-35 °C. In the near future, similar cooling is expected in four southern regions.

In this regard, Bakytzhan Sagintayev instructed the akimats to take additional measures to comply with the thermal schedules of the heat networks, especially in small towns at small boiler houses.

"Special attention should be paid to social facilities — hospitals for schools and kindergartens. In a timely manner, to warn the population by all available means to abolish classes in educational institutions," said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The Prime Minister noted that public transport should work in comply with the schedule. All akimats must develop schedules for their employees' duty. The single duty dispatch service line 112 must operate smoothly, taking into account the increased load.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is instructed to ensure effective control on the roads. If necessary, make a timely decision to limit the departure of all types of transport from settlements and conduct active explanatory work. Together with akimats, they should organize mobile heating points for drivers and passengers with hot meals. Also, ensure the watch of emergency rescue teams, escort of emergency and medical services.

"All this coldest period must be passed clearly and smoothly by all services. Separately I address the heads of the state bodies and the organizations, the private companies, to not detain the employees late on workplaces. If possible, organize a centralized transportation of employees," said Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
