The Head of State holds a meeting with Askar Zhumagaliyev, Deputy Prime Minister

During the meeting, the Head of State heard about the progress of implementing Digital Kazakhstan State Program and the efforts made to implement the earlier instructions. This was reported by the press service of Akorda.

"Through digitalization, Kazakhstan's economy should increase by 30%, in monetary terms it will be more than KZT 2 trillion," the President of Kazakhstan said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed the need for the local business to participate in addressing the issue of actualizing public procurement in the field of digitalization in order to preserve the accumulated experience and competence in Kazakhstan.

"The digitalization program has been approved; the state allocates a lot of money for that. It is required to ensure its effective use," the Head of State said.

Askar Zhumagaliyev informed the President of Kazakhstan about the expected results of Digital Kazakhstan Program.

"In the mining industry, owing to digitalization, the cost of production will decrease, and production will increase. We also expect creation of about 200,000 new jobs in e-commerce. According to our estimates, only through the digitization of customs and tax services the state budget will receive more than 100 billion tenge," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of State listened to the Report on preparations for “Digital Agenda in the Era of Globalization” international forum and gave a number of specific instructions.
