Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov held a meeting to develop a Methodology for analyzing the socio-economic effect of government spending.

The Head of State on Feb. 8, 2022, at the enlarged meeting of the Government, the task was set to develop a methodology for analyzing the socio-economic effect of public spending.

The First Deputy Heads of the Ministry of Finance, the National Economy, and the Accounts Committee reported on the progress of work on the development of the Methodology.

The analysis should demonstrate the social impact of public spending: providing employment, increasing the income of workers, improving the quality of the workforce, as well as assessing the economic impact, including expanding the tax base and increasing the amount of taxes paid.

Sultanov instructed to take into account, when developing the Methodology, a retrospective of the socio-economic analysis of the practice of spending budget funds for all State programs since 2018. At the same time, it is necessary to coordinate the efforts of the Government, the Agency for Strategic Planning and the Accounts Committee.
