Today in Tashkent at the UzExpoCenter exhibition centre, the official opening ceremony of the Kazakhstan pavilion with the participation of the Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhenis Kassymbek took place.

Vice Minister for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Khairov, Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Invest NC Maksat Kabashev and his deputy Meirzhan Maikenov, as well as Deputy Chairman of State Committee for Investments Shamil Burnashayev took part in the opening ceremony.

"The Republic of Uzbekistan is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan. The increase in foreign trade turnover by 35% in the first half of 2017 indicates that our countries have sufficient potential for active trade and economic relations," Zhenis Kassymbek said.

47 large Kazakhstani companies specializing in such industries as machine building, food production, pharmaceuticals, construction, IT are representing the national pavilion of Kazakhstan with the support of Kazakh Invest.

The exposition of Nazarbayev University, the main theme of which was education and medicine, as well as products of national companies of KTZh, the program "Egov Government for Citizens" and "Kazakhstan Engineering" modernized military equipment attracted a particular interest of the visitors of the exhibition.

In addition, the exhibition presents a line of cars of domestic manufacturers with traditional and electric engines.

In his speech Zh. Kassymbek also noted that the exhibition will be an excellent platform for establishing a dialogue between potential investors of the two countries.
