Today, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Head of the Presidential Administration Adilbek Dzhaksybekov took part in an extraordinary session of Maslikhat of Zhambyl region.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev read a letter from the Head of State addressed to the deputies of the regional maslikhat on the proposal to appoint Askar Myrzakhmetov to the post of akim of Zhambyl region. The deputies unanimously supported the candidacy proposed by the President.

Then Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Head of the Presidential Administration Adilbek Dzhaksybekov met with the activists of Zhambyl region, where they presented a new akim.

Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev thanked Karim Kokrekbayev for the joint work. During the presentation, the Prime Minister noted the extensive experience of Askar Myrzakhmetov at various responsible leadership positions and set before the new leadership a number of specific tasks for the implementation of the Address of the Head of State to the people of Kazakhstan "New Development Opportunities in the Conditions of the Fourth Industrial Revolution".

During the meeting with the region's activists, the hero of labor, general director of Kazphosphate LLP Mukash Iskandirov, chairman of the public council of Zhambyl region, Zhandar Karibayev, also spoke.
