Bakytzhan Sagintayev holds a meeting on development of agricultural sector

Today in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev held a meeting on the development of the country's agricultural sector.

Issues of implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex, the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Agricultural Cooperatives", stabilization of the grain market and diversification of the export direction of agricultural products were discussed during the meeting. In addition, information was heard on the further improvement of the epizootic situation in the livestock sector.

According to the data of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" for 2016/2017, about 8.3 million tons of grain have been exported, taking flour into account. Since the beginning of this year, as of December 1, 7,7 million tons of grain and flour have been shipped for export.

According to the data of KTZh-Cargo Transportation JSC, it is planned to ship 19,403 cars or 1.3 million tons of grain in December of the current year. For the transportation of grain, 9,970 wagons are involved, which ensures the transportation of up to 1.2 million tons of grain per month.

In accordance with the instruction of the Head of State and the implementation of the 60th Step of the Plan of the Nation "100 Concrete Steps", the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Agricultural Cooperatives" was developed and entered into force on January 1, 2016.

Since 2016, as of December 1, 2017, 1,066 agricultural cooperatives (hereinafter referred to as ACC) were registered, including 777 in 2017.

As of the beginning of the year, 80.5 thousand tons of milk, 15.1 thousand tons of meat, 21.9 thousand tons of fruit and vegetable products, 1 thousand tons of poultry meat, 19 tons of honey, 56 tons of lamb, 27 tons of camel milk, 31 tons of goat milk and 63.7 thousand eggs were prepared by the ACC (according to the akimats of the regions).

Kazakhstan received the official status of the International Epizootic Bureau of the Free Zone of Foot and Mouth Disease.
