Berik Sholpankulov appointed first vice minister of finance

By the Decree of the Government, Berik Sholpankulov was appointed the first vice minister of finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Sholpankulov was born in 1976 in the Almaty region. In 1996 he graduated from the Kazakh State Agrarian University with a degree in economics and accountancy.

He began his career in 1996 as a treasurer of the Office of Vault Cash and Public Debt of the Treasury under the Ministry of Finance. Over the years, he held senior positions in the treasury system at the Ministry of Finance. From 2008 to 2014 he worked as vice minister of finance. In 2014–2016 he was deputy minister of defense. From 2016 he has served as vice minister of finance.
