Prime Minister Askar Mamin meets with ExxonMobil Managing Director in Kazakhstan Dinesh Sivasambu

Prime Minister Askar Mamin met with Managing Director of ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan Dinesh Sivasambu.

During the meeting, topical issues and promising areas of cooperation in the oil and gas industry, including in the framework of the implementation of joint projects for the development of the Tengiz and Kashagan fields were discussed.

According to the Ministry of Energy, it is planned to produce about 12.9 million tons of oil and 8 billion m3 of gas at Kashagan in 2019. After reconstruction, production was resumed at the field, starting at the level of 70 thousand barrels per day. Taking into account the phased increase in the near future, the daily volume will reach 370-400 thousand barrels of oil.

A major overhaul is also planned for Tengiz field facilities. At the same time, the development of the Kalamkas-Sea field together with the Khazar field is being considered.

It was noted that ExxonMobil is an important partner of Kazakhstan, close cooperation with the company contributes to the development of the country's oil industry.
