Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov together with the staff of the Government Apparatus took part in Zhasyl Astana, a city-wide environmental volunteer clean-up day.

About 120 green plantings, including pine, larch, ash, birch and currant were planted along the Uly Dala avenue.

The teams of state organizations, private enterprises and residents of blocks of flats are planting trees, cleaning adjacent territories, cleaning coastal areas of water reservoirs, etc. on this day in all parts of the capital.

It should be noted that the traditional ecological month, within which subbotniks and other green actions are held, will last in Astana till May 6.
