Today in Ukimet Uyi, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev met with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Kazakhstan headed by the President of the Chamber, the General Director of KATCO LLP, Gerard Fries.
At the meeting, the issues of the extension of Kazakh-French cooperation in the field of trade and investment, energy and petrochemistry, agricultural processing, tourism and other spheres were considered.
For reference: In 2017, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France amounted to $3.39 billion (exports - $2.86 billion, imports - $535 million), which is 38% more compared to 2016 ($2.45 billion).
From 2005 to the first half of 2017, the volume of French investments in the economy of Kazakhstan amounted to $13.77 billion.
More than 140 enterprises with the participation of French capital, such as Total, Areva, Danone, Vicat, Peugeot, Alstom, etc., successfully operate in Kazakhstan.
