Today in Ukimet Uyі the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev chaired an extraordinary meeting of the Council on the transition to a green economy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the videoconference mode.

Issues of management of solid domestic waste were discussed during the meeting. The current situation was reported by the Minister of Energy K. Bozumbayev, akims of Atyrau, Almaty, Kostanay regions and the cities of Astana and Almaty.

Also, the Executive Director of the Waste Management Association of Kazakhstan "Kaz Waste" V. Mustafina, the director of the Research and Education center "Green Academy" B. Yessekina, the General Director of LLP "Operator ROP" S. Korotenko and others spoke during the meeting.
