Today at the Government meeting in the course of the discussion on the development of public-private partnership, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions.

Ministers of National Economy, Investments and Development, Healthcare, as well as akims of a number of regions reported on the development of PPP.

Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the Head of State pays great attention to expanding the scope of PPP mechanisms. On the part of the Government, all necessary decisions are taken and issues on changing legislation in the sphere of PPPs are considered in a timely manner.

"Today the main issue is the construction of hostels for students on the basis of PPP within the framework of the implementation of the five social initiatives of the President. Akims of the regions should pay special attention to this issue," Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.

About 75% of PPP projects belong to the social sphere. These are the objects of education and healthcare. Their implementation is of great help to the state in decreasing the burden on the budget.

In addition, B. Sagintayev noted that in the sphere of housing and communal services, the first steps are being taken to introduce PPP mechanisms. In this connection, the Minister for Investments and Development, Zh. Kassymbek, is entrusted to consider carefully all the projects to be implemented under PPP.
