Bakytzhan Sagintayev visits Museum of Future "Nur Alem" in the territory of Expo-2017

Today, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev visited the tourist zone “Museum of the Future “Nur Alem”, located in the area of the International Specialized Exhibition Expo-2017 in Astana.

During the visit, Bakytzhan Sagintayev got acquainted with the post-exhibition use of the Expo-2017 facilities. On the floors of the Museum of the Future, the main types of energy ­– space, sun, biomass, wind, water and kinetics – are demonstrated through digital, multimedia and interactive technologies.

According to the Concept of post-exhibition use of the Expo-2017 facilities, the Nur Alem pavilion, thematic pavilions and the zone of best practices will function as museum complexes. The congress center, energy hall, art center and commercial pavilions will retain their intended purpose as exhibition halls, concert halls and will be available for mass visits.

For reference: Expo-2017, the international specialized exhibition, recognized by the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE), was held in Astana from June 10 to September 10, 2017. The theme of the exhibition is "Future Energy". At the exhibition, 115 countries and 22 international organizations presented their pavilions. During the three months of Expo-2017, 5.4 million people arrived in the capital. The exhibition was visited by 3.977 million people.

The central object of Expo-2017 – Nur Alem – is the only building in the world that is a sphere of finished form with a diameter of 80 meters, a height of 100 meters.
