Bakytzhan Sagintayev set specific tasks for digitalization of the agro-industrial complex

Today at the meeting of the Government, the Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev gave a number of specific instructions on issues of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan.

After hearing the reports of the First Vice Minister of Agriculture A. Yevniev, Minister of Information and Communications D. Abayev, akims of Kostanay region, A. Mukhambetov, and North Kazakhstan, K. Aksakalov, as well as representatives of the agro-industrial sector, Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the Head of State defined the agriculture as the driver of the economy. To implement this task, it is necessary to turn the agro-industrial complex into a high-tech, innovative sector.

Mechanisms of work of the Ministry of Agriculture are supported in general. At the same time, the Prime Minister instructed to revise the efficiency indicators of the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, and also to ensure access by 2020 to rural settlements included in the Road Map under the state program Digital Kazakhstan to broadband Internet.

Coordination as a whole on digitalization remains for Deputy Prime Minister A. Zhumagaliyev, control over the industry — for Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture U. Shukeyev.
