Bakytzhan Sagintayev participates in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council

Today in Astana the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev took part in the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in a narrow format.

The event was also attended by Prime Minister D. Medvedev, Prime Minister Karapetyan, Prime Minister A. Kobyakov and Prime Minister S. Jeenbekov.

During the speech Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the meeting of the Intergovernmental Council is timed to the international exhibition EXPO-2017 held in Astana and thanked the participants for the support and active participation of the countries in the event.

Within the framework of the meeting, issues of preparation of the main directions for the implementation of the digital agenda of the Eurasian Economic Union, the draft Agreement on the provision of pensions for workers of the EurAsEC member states, as well as the negotiation of an interim agreement leading to the establishment of a free trade zone between the Eurasian Economic Community and the Republic of Iran were discussed.

At the same time, the results of monitoring the customs declaration of goods imported into the member states of the Eurasian Economic Community were summed up and the issues of the creation of the Commission for Investigation of air accidents within the Union were considered.

In addition, the issue of mutual recognition of national and international driving permits issued in one member state of the Eurasian Economic Union was raised to carry out business activities in the territory of another Union country.

The passing session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was the third this year. Earlier similar events were held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) in March and in Kazan (Russian Federation) in May this year.
